Pulsar’s Commitment to Privacy

Pulsar is fully committed to upholding its Privacy Policy. Providing the company with your personal information is an act of trust; an act that is taken very seriously in the way that Pulsar operates. This Privacy Policy will outline details on how information is collected and used. Information is also provided on how to change or de-activate your data.

Method of Collecting Information

“Cookies” may be used to gather statistical information that will assist in understanding what users find interesting and useful throughout the Pulsar Website. These cookies are a small piece of dat a, identifying you only by random number (e.g. #15678). No personal information can be identified about the user through cookies. This numerical data is sent to your browser from a Web server and then stored onto your computer’s hard drive. Through modification of browser preferences, a user can elect to accept all cookies, receive notification when a cookie is set or decline all cookies. Alterations to these settings may, however, affect the functionality of the Pulsar Website.

Type of Information Collected

When visiting the Pulsar Website, general information that will not personally identify you may be collected. Types of information include data about pages visited, duration of page view, location previous to accessing the Pulsar Client Web site, navigational habits of users along with details on browser (including Internet Protocol ‘IP’ addresses or browser configurations) and operating systems. This information alone will not identify an individual. Instead, it provides statistics that are used to analyse and improve Pulsar Client Websites.

Personally Identifiable Information

Personally identifiable information is defined as any personal information that could identify you such as your name, address, telephone number, billing and shipping information, credit card information or e-mail address. Generally, when you visit the Pulsar Website, you are not required to disclose who you are or reveal any personally identifiable information. Since Pulsar takes your privacy seriously, no personally identifiable information will be collected unless it is voluntarily provided. At no time during your visit to a Pulsar Client Web site should you feel obligated to reveal any personal information to Pulsar.

GDPR

As of the 25th May GDPR (General data protection regulation) becomes legislation. This will affect every business, particularly, ones in which store personal data of customer or individuals. Fines for non GDPR compliance can be up to 4% of global annual turnover or 20 million euros, whichever is greater.

We only store data which is relevant to the services we provide. Below is a list of information we store:

  • Third-party details such as O365, DNS hosting, website hosting etc,
  • IP addresses

What do we use your data for?

  • Assist our selected partners and third parties with the services they provide to you and us

Who will use and process your information?

The Data Processors at Pulsar Marketing are competent in how to correctly and safely handle your information in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The Data Protection Officer is responsible for overseeing this process to protect the integrity of your personal information.

Pulsar Computing are fully GDPR compliant. We do not collect or share any information with any third parties in or outside the EU. No information on the website is stored. Enquiries sent from the website are sent to an encrypted mailbox.

 

Contact information is processed accordingly in compliance with the GDPR legislation.

 

Changes to the privacy notice

 

This document was updated on the 24th May 2018 by the Data protection officers and will be reviewed annually. Any changes which are required before the annual review date, we will notify all parties of the policy amendments.
